We read your sitemap.xml (following one level of sitemap-index nesting) to get your full page list, then drop anything that looks like login, cart, checkout, admin, or tag/pagination URLs.
Pages are grouped by their first URL path segment (e.g. /blog/*, /tools/*) into named sections. For up to 25 pages we fetch the live <title> and meta description to use as the entry's title and note; the rest fall back to a title derived from the URL slug.
No AI model is called anywhere in this process — it's plain sitemap parsing and rule-based filtering, which is why it's free and instant.

What is llms.txt?
A markdown file at yourdomain.com/llms.txt that lists your key pages in named sections with a short note on each — a shortlist for language models, not a full sitemap dump.
Is llms.txt an official standard?
No. It's a proposal (llmstxt.org), not required by any search engine or AI provider. It costs a few minutes to publish and nothing to maintain, so there's little downside to having one.
Where do I put the file?
At the root of your domain — yourdomain.com/llms.txt, the same place as robots.txt. In Next.js that's your public/ folder; on WordPress it's the site root, not wp-content.
Will this get my site cited by ChatGPT or Perplexity?
It can't guarantee citations — no one can. It gives AI crawlers a clean, structured map of your key pages instead of making them guess from your navigation, which is a reasonable input to being cited, not a promise of it.
How many pages does it include?
Up to 30 per section, pulled from your live sitemap.xml (including one level of sitemap-index nesting). Login, cart, checkout, and admin pages are filtered out automatically.
